New Schedule

Due to some feedback I have been getting the Professionals "Board" meeting has been changed to have meetings on Thursdays instead of Fridays.

So the new schedule looks like this:

April 9 – Carlsbad Campgrounds
April 20 – PB Drive
May 14 – Oceanside – Surfrider Way
May 25 – Bird Rock
June 11 - Tamarack
June 22 – Imperial Beach
July 9 – Camp Pendleton
July 20 – Wind’anSea

And at any time that anyone wants to suggest an "emergency" meeting for when there is a great swell, just repond to everyone via the Evite or just email me and I will send out an email alert.

3.23.09 Meeting Notes

Hi this is Patrick Zabrocki from PMC with the meeting notes for the 3.23.09 Board Meeting at Scripps Pier.

Mario Covic (County of San Diego), Mike Trotta (LSA), Todd Easley (LSA), Dan Rosie (LSA), and I (Patrick Zabrocki, PMC) showed up to a bitter cold and storm-beaten but large morning.

The waves were borderline out of control and overhead. Although we watched it for a long time, it seemed to only get worse and the paddle out looked intense...

So as a collective group we jumped into our warm cars and headed to Papalulu for breakfast to talk utility and fire danger, water issues, and other random surf stories underneath the Palm Trees in the patio (look out for those Night Herons!).

Although we pulled out every excuse in the book not to paddle out and fight the heavy conditions, I think we all regret not suiting up...

Nobody showed... waves were bad. Although a few people called me to see if it was good, I gave them the honest report and we all decided that it was better to spend time with family.
